I was wondering if anybody else has had this pr5oblem before. I just got done putting in a new battery and alternator, and my voltage meter is still reading at 12 volts with nothing on. So if any one could let me know what i should check for,it would be a big help.

Just replied back with an email.
For everyone else's reference, start by checking the volts across the battery while the car is running to make sure the gauge in the cabin isn't bad. Then if need be, start cleaning your grounds and making sure all your connections are tight.

I've also read that the earth/ground lead from the battery can lose it's efficiency, even if it looks fine.
