I recently had work done on my '95, 911 emergency brake (which has to be engaged to open and close a rag top) and since then, I have had problems with geting the top to close and/or fasten completely.  Before I take the car back in for this, does anyone have an idea about the nature of this problem?  The convertible top motor seems to run as I press the button - it just will not catch to lift up.  It is now in a semi-closed position. Please help!

JUST TO LET YOU KNOW I HAVE A 96 911 C4 CAB AND WE HAVE HAD ALL THE MOTORS REPLACED.  BUT IT SOUNDS LIKE YOU SHOULD HAVE THEM CHECK THE SENSOR..THE MAIN BRAIN WHICH IS UNDER THE STEERING COLUMN...OUR TOP WAS STUCK IN A POSITION AND THE MOTORS WERE RUNNING BUT IT WAS THE SENSOR....IF YOU ARE IN THE NORTH BAY OF CALIFORNIA THE MECHANIC WE USE SPECIALIZES IN FERRARI'S AND PORSCHES..BILL'S EXCELLENT..
