911 power steering question

Hi all,

What year did the 911 come out with power steering. I''m a fan of this body shape http://www.martinsmotors.com/Porsch%20vignette.jpg but i really want power steering.

I just read an article in the July 2008 Total 911 magazine that explains the evolution of the 964 turbo. The rear vents and front vents don''t look original?? The pic could be a 964 Turbo 3.6, circa 1993

1989 with the 964 would have been the first year of power steering. 

The earlier cars were so light in the front end, most people don''t even know they don''t have power steering.  Quite effortless to turn.
