what's the deal with using only porsche antifreeze? my level was low and was told prestone was ok. i then called prestone who confirmed, but when i call my dealer, they made it sound like my engine will explode. $45 a gallon for porsche antifreeze? c'mon. btw, i have a 99 boxster and added about a gallon.

That's a dealer for you.
You can use the prestone coolant that is safe for aluminum engines, and says it will mix with any color coolant on the bottle. Porsche does not make their own coolant, it is relabeled.
