Hi Folks, good to find this place.
I stumbled across this forum in desperation for some info on a Cayenne S Tiptronic 2003.
I have always had gear shift problems, the software has always been reset with a "there you are sir, all fixed" it never was........... Doh! I should complain more.
Porsche and the supplying dealer wont help, but it has been traced to the ATF cooler, so front of car removed, yesterday's job, leak found and fixed (well I hope anyway)
Problem, anyone know where to top up the ATF and check the level? I have removed every cover in the engine compartment, but can I find it, well obviously not, I'm asking.
Anyone with any info. your input will be much appreciated.

Thanks for that.
It turned out to be easy, just put a funnel in the return pipe from the cooler, gravity did the work, ok it was a guess but all seems well, the gear change is smooth again, bliss.
I did a lot (well a lot for me) of research for the right fluid, Mobil ATF 3309 is apparently the one, but could not trace a drop in the UK so had to pay main dealer prices.
