I know most of you will get a kick out of this and perhaps say I have no business driving a Porsche --but here goes. I just bought a 2004 C4S Cab with a manual transmission. I have always driven an automatic. I am pretty much an amateur on the stick. I can drive it. I am not destroying the car or anything. I am just concerned that I could be burning out the clutch. Are the new Porsches pretty forgiving for a few mistakes here or there? I am sure when I get it down 100% it won't be an issue but I know I might have held the clutch down when I shouldn't have a few times. Any help would be appreciated. Just looking for feedback.

newer porsche clutches are a little more forgiving than the older ones but i still suggest keeping your foot off the clutch unless your shifting, the worse thing to do to a clutch is leave some pressure on the pedal while driving, this causes premature clutch wear and it will start to slip. drive safe and be nice to your car
