It is super easy to check the belt tension on a 16v. After I did the TB/WP there is a slight squeal somewhere in the front of the engine. The timing belt was way too tight and I hope correcting the tension helps. Picture shows the belt after adjustment of the tensioner.
The other issue I have uncovered is that the belt has migrated to the back of the cam gear. Would my over tight situation cause this?
