RADIATOR HOSE!!
yeah...i just got a new 1988 turbo s....bought it for 10 g...now the radiator hose has a leak, and the idle is all the way at 2000 rpm...im not sure if the rpm is supposed to be that high when it idles....how much would the leak in the radiator hose be? thanx

It depends if you need the upper or lower hose. Usually they range between $25-35 for the lower hose, and usually about $30 for the upper hose. I bought mine through a local mechanic’s shop but you can find them most anywhere:

*** for the Idle have you tried adjusting it? If so what were the results. If not its pretty easy, pick up a Haynes Manual, it tells you everything you will ever need to know.

Radiator hoses arent much,but if you got a leak its usually best to replace all hoses at once considering your gonna be there.
But if you choose to do one,Mr pilkington got it right,no more than 35 dollars.
On our site we sell a complete 12 hose kit for the 944 turbo heater/cooling/radioator,etc; incase your interested.

For the high idle, make sure the AFM plug to the DME is securely seated. Also check the condition of the brake booster vacuum line.
Replace all the Rad and heater hoses at once. eliminates frustration in the future. You wont have a hose going out at a unpleasant time during the next year or 2.
