Hello there,

as all Porsche Workshop & Diagnostic Equipment is now displayed on Porsche's website, I would imagine you can go to any Porsche Centre and order it - it's part no. 9718 PIWIS tester, ORDER NO. 000 721 971 80 - there are also a number of accessories such as cables, a DVD drive etc. It should be expensive though!

Best regards

Emilios

Not all workshop information is posted on the Porsche Tech site. They only have the information for 1996 and newer. They have not posted information for the 2005 models yet. The PIWIS tester is listed at over $12,000 in the Porshce price list and as far as I know dealers do not have them available yet.

Hey PorscheDoc,

My car is originally from Canada, so the headlights stay on all the time. Can you tell me if the Durametric Diagnostic Tool will allow me to access computer to change that? Just so happens I have an Airbag light that is on also. Have heard horror storys of them deploying sometimes when you try to reset the light. Any tips to avoid that?

Thanks for your help,

Kevin

I *think* the durametrics stuff can turn off the airbag light and recode the headlights.

Any updates on this? I could buy the cables and cards for the PSTII. I'm interested in *buying* a PIWIS.
