raspy engine noise, possible bearing
Hi everyone,
I got a 08 Cayman manual with 30k miles that makes this raspy noise from the engine. Here is the noise:

sounds to me like a bearing of some sort; but when i depress the clutch there's no change, leading me to think it is not the throwout bearing. This model is not prone to IMS bearing failure, and other than that obvious possibility I am wondering if anyone has experience with this sort of issue. I am thinking an accessory bearing. Maybe water pump, alternator, etc.
Anyone with any direct experience of such a sound?
Thanks
