Hey guys, a friend of mine and I started a competition on designing a car in 3D. This is our first time using the 3DSMAX program or any 3D software. We were given 30days to learn the program and cough up a car. So it would be appreciated if you guys can vote. All comments are welcomed. =)

I went with Aston Martin since it has more shading done; Porsche is nice from certain angles but Aston Martin has a slight edge, and for me it's the shading that made the choise. Perhaps both cars should have been same color...

I'm thinking next time we shall both model the exact same cars instead of picking different cars.  That way it'll be a better competition.

Thanks for the vote!

+1 with having both cars the same color.... The Aston's color seems to show its lines better then the white does .  Good Job

Very cool...I voted for the Porsche...of course, but I have to agree the Aston Martin looks hot.

Wow, both are pretty cool looking.  It must be nice to have such a good s/w tool at your disposal!  Comparing the two designs to a white 997 TT and a yellow Vanquish I see at the track, I think the Porsche looks more realistic.  The Vanquish in person is stunning.  The Vanquish in the design exercise looks a little more cartoonish than the real deal; the shadowing appears a bit overdone to me.  The 997 TT looks very close to the actual car.

I really like the way the tires appear to be floating above the floor.  Nice work in both cases.

Haha...yea I noticed that after the rendering. It takes 1hr 30min to render each image, so I didn't bother going back changing it.
