Hey guys,  I have a 1963 356 and a 1983 911 that the guy tried to run over a tree.  Has anyone out there done the swap ???  I tried Grant in the uk they were no help,  I know a lot of modifications have to be done to the 356 and if someone can point me in the right direction please let me know.

thanks........locdoc21

I'm sure it can be done -- anything can be done if you have enough money (or tolerance for poor results).

But this strikes me as something that should not be done.  The 356 was not designed to handle nearly that much power (or weight of engine) and you would basically have to modify the whole car.  What you would have at the end would not be a 356.

An early 911 or perhaps one of the later 912 engines would be a good swap into it, though.
