I'm wondering if I can get by with not using my in tank fuel pump (which has died!)? I've replaced the in line pump and am wondering if it is strong enough to keep the car running. Or does it really need to have the fuel forced to the main fuel pump to run properly? Thanks

Yours must be a 931 then (924 turbo). It will need both pumps if it is a 931.

Thanks for your answers jay and Bigbob! Jay its a non turbo model, I think that year both cars had dual fuel pumps (believe me I've worked on it enough to know the difference!) Bob, that's a point I hadn't even considered. The germans do things for good reasons so I guess I'll have to suck it up and part with the $150.00 dollars to keep my toy running! Again, thanks!!!! Larry
