Yup, pull the engine and drop in a 3.0 or 3.3L turbo engine.  The 2.7 won't take that much abuse.

If you want to stay NA, then a 3.2L is a great upgrade.  Currently doing one at the shop right now to a mid 70's 911 that popped the motor.

yeah i was thinking about doing that, i really wanted to stay N/A cuz my friend has turbo everything he's had, and its just been a bunch of problems.... So i wanna stay N/A, but just was looking to see what Turbo's were out there. I think i have some life in my 2.7L still, so im going to do some other things that i would like to do. But when looking for 3.2L should i just take it to a shop and tell them more or less what i want?

What I did for my customer, is they blew the engine in their 911, and I found him a 3.2L from a customer who had wrecked his Carrera and was parting it out, so we bought the complete engine, wiring harness, dme from him.  Since it was another customer selling the engine, I knew it was a healthy motor, which helps.  The engine swap shouldn't be a big deal if they are familiar with Porsches.
