Driving home yesterday, the clutch pedal on my '03 Boxster S felt soft with more pedal travel than usual. This morning, every time I depressed the clutch pedal there was a distinct "whirring" sound. Every time I let the pedal out, the sound went away. I immediately turned around and parked the car at home, staying in 3rd and drifting thru red lights. Thoughts?

Sounds to me like the clutch thrust bearing is the cause. Perhaps Porsche Doc will comment too.
