Well... I''m a young guy and I''ve always wanted a Porsche. I have no need for (nor can I afford) a high end or even a new porsche, but I would like an old one. I fell in love with the unique styling and attitude of the porsche family at a very young age... and it has been my dream car ever since. I want a project. An old friendly porsche (I''m thinking something around a ''74 911 or something of the sort) that I can buy for cheap and work on it a bit so it will be a fun and decently reliable car. I have a neighbor that is into german cars and engines and has done an engine rebuild before and he could possibly help me. Of course... the engine rebuild he did was on an american muscle car which is a lot simpler than a porsche. Am I being unrealistic? I mean... I live in McKinney Texas for god''s sake and theres not too many porsches lying around that i could get my hands on. Also what model should i look for? What year? What are the prices? I have alot of questions and ANY information would be great. Thanks guys.
