Chargerucd, Dude get the car and do not spend more that $15,000 to restore it drive it for about a year if you are still in love with it, then go crazy with her and spend what ever it take to make it yours, cause you will never see any of that money again. I have 26K into mine right now and it is not even near completion, but I love her and I can not see myself in anything that says SKARR more than she does. You can end up spending about 50-100 grand on a 914 to make it perfect, but it only take about 15 grand to have a really nice ride that will turn some head. One week after I got my car out of resto some guys with classic American Muscle cars asked ME and the LRD to be in a car show. I laughed but they really wanted her there and people were asking all kinds of questions. She was between 2 Thunderbirds a 56" and a 65" cool as sh**!
