I have just found this site, and find it interesting, if lacking in input from owners of newer 911s. So -------------- comments from 997 Carrera and Carrera S models would be most interesting. I have just ordered the Carrera , with PMSA (I think those are the letters in order), and comments on handling and ride would be nice. Yes, I know ------ but our roads are not generally smooth and the 19in wheels of the S , in winter especially (Candian prairies are cold and icy), would not be the best choice. Merci KIWICannuck

I have a 997 S. The active suspension is phenomenal. It's still a firm ride, but noticeably, appreciably smoother. And all it take is the push of a button to turn it off and firm up the ride. I almost always leave it on. It's surprisingly comfortable despite the 19 in wheels.
