Yes..... they're all mine. I really don't think they're that much alike. Each one has it's own personality. I'm not a collector but a driver. I drive these cars all year long.... even in the Winter if there's no snow or salt dust and small gravel left over on the road after a snow. Sorry my choice of cars bums you out. Michael

Hey, they're your cars and if they make you happy, fine. It's just most collectors go for more variety and it was among the narrowest collects I'd seen -- sparked my curiosity as to why you made the selections. I know a few who are similarly in love with a certain era or style. I have one friend whocollects only 1930s coupes - a Talbot Lago and two Delahayes, etc., but most folks seem to pick and choose across decades and types.

Me, I have the three and let my wife spend the rest on art we hang on the walls. Exciting in a different way.

To each his own . . .

Hey Willis, where have you been? You seemed to have dropped off the earth -- not showing up for the meetings at Harris. I tried to e-mail you but you don't seem to exist anymore, at least according to the internet.

And what is this about art you hang on wall? Isn't the classic 911 shape enough for you?

Sorry about that. I left the former company and two partners and I did a technology start up and rather quickly found backing - someone with a lot more money than we wanted but much bigger expectations. I won't be coming to the nuke plant review meetings any more: involved strictly in T&D now and just in utter chaos hiring management, etc.

I have your e-mail and will send more when I can.

The 911 is a very clean and technically elegant design, but not pretty in my mind. I'm probably in a small minority, at least on this forum.

Real art is what you hang on walls or put on display pedestals. We have three types: stuff we like that will never appreciate - some neat folk paintings from the Carribean, some American Indian folk art, some oils and pastels that we just find nice; then stuff we like that we think has appreciated and is now worth something such as a Julio Larraz and a Paul McMillian, etc., and then a few pieces of "glamour" art - "minor" works by big name artists, but still stuff that we like: like a Picasso titled "the Little Bullfight" and an incredible original print by Rembrandt himself of The Raising of Lazarrus (really - stuff like this is not cheap, but sometimes costs no more than a good sports car). Right now I'm trying to buy a Whistler (not his Mother, his mistress actually).

anyway, I will be in touch

I just sent you an e-mail but remember I'm not that far away, I'm still rented space on the same server as your company down here.

And yes, I did get the Whistler - took a bit of negotiation and a long wait for crating and shipping: they don't just pop something like that in the post. But it's gorgeous, a print of his girl friend Eloise. She was nick-named "Fumette" (comtemporary term for "racy woman") and that is the title of the piece (no pun intended). It is just gorgeous. So, I really do own "Whistler's Mistress" How much did he love her? Well, this is an etching (black and white) whereas he did his Mother in oil.

Had bad luck with the Porsche. Some nut drove me off the road into a curb and I badly scuffed up the passenger side wheels. It will be laid up for a week while they are sent off to be ground down and re-painted.

I think youv'e made an excellent choice on color with the yellow. I also like it because the contrast with the silver engine covers looks great. Would definatly get yellow on black if I bought one! Quik question, how long did it take you to decide you were going to buy a carrera gt?
