Hey guys/gals, what do you think of this Carrera G.T. look-a-like?

It's based on another Porsche model....the Boxster, but I don't know who builds it. Any ideas?

I don't like the idea of it at all, like those kits to convert a Pontiac Fiero to a sorta-Ferrari Testarosa look alike.

Love a car for what it is or get rid of it.

Exactly!

Hey I have an idea, let's all go buy civics and pretend they're real race cars.
I saw this one civic one time that totally did a 14 second quarter mile!

Looking at that kit closely it's way too damn cheezy.
It isn't even convincing in photography, seeing that on the road would just be a sham to the CGT. It's pretty sad that they keep making all of these riced up body-kits for the Boxster. It just makes me sick. The Boxster is slow, ugly, MR pretending to be RR, and those damn things keep getting killed my poor little 2.5 N/A. It not too much more for a decent 997, if you are looking to buy a Porsche for the speed etc, buy the flagship. Not looking for the expenses that a 996/997 can incur? Get a Noble! They are less expensive and much faster than a Boxster.

Now credit given the "commemorative" 550 Spyder concept-mod to the Boxter I think was pertty sweet. And thats hard to admit. Check th spread in European Car magazine:

I don't like the boxster at all, the only thing I like about the kit is its something that'll hold your attention for a few minutes.

Hey guys, judging by your reactions to this C.G.T. wannabe, I think I should have posted the pic's in my "C**p Customised Porsche" posting!

(Even without this kit, I never thought you lot hated the Boxster so much!)

I realize this is an older post but I couldn't help myself. I agree that the GT conversion kit is blasphemous, although it still looks sweet. Now, the real reason why I'm replying to this is the anti-boxster sentiment. Not everybody has to love it, but it really is an amazing mr machine. And for those who need a little extra juice, have any of you seen the RUF RK Spyder? Super sexy, here's the link, http://www.rufautocenter.com. You'll find it in the New Cars section, under RK Spyder. There was an article about it in the Oct 2005 issue of The Magazine About Porsche Excellence. Super sweet ride, 420hp and 450 Nm torque. But then again, this is no ordinary boxster.

I agree with alot of what has been said, but I am a beleaver in making a car say your name. If this person is going around saying he or she has a GT they are wrong as rain, but if they are saying I have the most tricked out Boxster on the road then I guess it cool. I know this much it will surelly turn a head or two to make sure of what it is.
