Um i am thinking of either a turbo charger or a super charger for my 1983 porsche 944. i was told that super

chargers are better because they offer power immediatly to the engine. Do any of u guys have any suggestions on

what kind of supercharger to get and where to get it. thank you

Don't you think that you should up grade the Valves and springs? I mean that motor is 20 year old or so just one day droping a Butt load of HP through the throttle body is probaly going to damage the old parts in the motor. Turbo 951 motor's are lower compression and have stiffer valve springs, as well as forged rods to make up for the extra compression of the turbo.

IDK??

I think sticking to negative pressure is a better idea than going to forced induction.  Have you tried things like balancing the reciprocating mass, or port and polish, or even retarding the camshaft for top end power?  Also think about the tranny with all the extra power.
