I have a 68 912 and have totally removed the rear transaxles for cleaning, painting (with POR-15), regreasing and new rubber boots. At this point, I would also like to remove the hubs (heavy metal piece with 5 studs for the wheel) and pull them out of the bearings. My service manual calls for using part 209 to hit the hub from the inside with a hammer and knock it out of the bearings. Problem is, I can't find any reference to part 209 on the web. Does anyone know a way to get the hubs out? Can I use sliding hammer-type gear puller and pull out the hubs from the outside? thx, lep
