There is a Hybrid engine in the works for this car! Same premise as the Cayenne Hybrid engine

 

Porsche revealed today the first offiicial images of the 2010 Panamera. Official debut will be made at the Detroit Auto Show and sales will begin in late summer of 2009. First models to be offered will be Turbo and 4S.

Wow, what a disappointment. It is not quite ugly, but it is surely something I don't want to see every day: hope none of my neighbors buy one.

I realize that it is difficult to do a really exicting four-door design, but in my opinion Porsche really missed. I like the Aston Martin Rapide(the new four door coming out soon) somewhat better,but frankly the Aston Lagonda 4-door of many years ago was much better executed (but a terrible car otherwise). The lastest Maserati QuattroPorte and Mercede's sleek four door coupe (forget the designation letters) and that new sleeked-up Passat CCR or whatever (again, I forget three letter designations) prove that it can be done, as does as the best of the lot in my opinion, the Jaguar F, a very nicely done shape, and with the supercharged engine, sufficiently fast that anything more doesn't matter: it's a sedan for cying out loud and other things take precedence over sheer performance.
