Couple of Electronics related questions

Hello all. This is my first post on my newly acquired 2001 996 Carrera Coupe.

First off, I have a raptor shift light I would like to install and am wondering if anyone knows where I can acquire the tach lead up front (Easily) in the dash somewhere.

Secondly, does anyone make a custom fit box for behind the rear seats? I'm thinking I'm gonna have to fab my own...but the older I get, the lazier I am. I want to put in one 12" sub in a sealed enclosure.

Thanks in advance for the responses!

Ken

Two tens is the way to go 12doesnt really fit right or down fire two eights in a ported enclosure.
Tach wire is Violet/Green at Diagnostic plug

Thanks for the info. I wound up building a custom box and installing 2 Clarion shallow mount 10" subs with an Alpine 220 watt mono amp. Infinitis all around the rest of the car with another Alpine 4 X 70 watter for those. Pioneer head unit and a cap and the car has plenty of punch!

Shift light? your other vehicle was a Honda? Just messing with ya, I know how Porsche techs are when they see something like that. I personally don't care, but thought I would add a smart arse comment to liven things up.

Well, I used the wire specified and it works perfectly! The heck with the techs. I've always worked on my own vehicles and just 'cause it's German isn't gonna stop me.

The old car (That the shift light came from) was an '04 vette. Not a fan of the Jap cars...I'm a GM kinda guy. (Wife drives a Yukon)

Gonna tackle some Chrome exhaust tips tomorrow. Actually looks easier to work on than any other car I've owned.

Now if I just had the money for a full FabSpeed exhaust...:)
