iPod kit for 997 (2007 Turbo)

Hello everyone...I'm new. :D

I have a 2007 Turbo and I can't find a way to "hardwire" my iPod into my car.

I have tried at least 3 different FM transmitters...and they ALL sucked [X(].

I CAN'T be the only one with a 997 that is having this issue...can I?

I called at least 4 different dealerships in the LA area (Pasadina,Riverside,Beverly Hills) and NONE of them can help me.

PLEASE can someone help me?

Thank you so much and I look forward to being a member here:D:D:D.

There are at least two products that can probably meet your needs. Both work with the MOST busin your car, and both get excellent reviews.

The Dension Gateway 500is available at http://www.bumperplugs.com.

Another similar product is made by mObridge, an Aussie company, and can be found at http://www.sunroofsetc.com.

Happy listening.

Rambler,
Here's one more: go to nav-tv.com. It is a British company that has a US arm in Boca Raton, FL, and offers an iPod interface for the MOST fiber optic setup in you car.

This is another option if you are open to replacing the radio. You will get full control of the iPod at full speed from the touchscreen display as well as AM/FM, and CD/DVD capabilities. You will also upgrade to a Garmin based Navigation system and have the ability to add Bluetooth, Satalitte, HD, you name it.

Hey guys, I'm a brand new poster as well.

I tried the mobridge unit, it is really a pain to install without a dealer. As the dealer in my country sucks(only dealer) I got no help. I was also dealing with a 2007 Turbo, and then tried on a 2008 Turbo and no go as well.

Question is, are any of the kits out there really plug an play? What's the easiest one to install?

Thanks for any answers.
