Finally going to part w/my '88 Carerra, buying a new 2008Carrera from a dealer. The one I want was purchased ("punched") by the dealer in Jan 2008, so thewarrantybegins on that date, which means I'm getting less than a full 48-month warranty when I pick it up(about 44-45 months).Dealer is willing to lower price for this reason, but I'mwondering how to best negotiate, how much diminished value to place on 3-4 months of lost warranty? Has anyoneelse dealt w/this....any advice?

Its difficult to compute the cost of a new warranty. An after market 2 year warranty is about $4K. I'd say 3-4 months is about $600.
