1973 911E

I recently came acrossa neglected 911E that was up for sale. They have asked for an offer and I am trying to ascertain what a reasonable offer would be. I know that it is difficult to price something sight unseen, but I will try to provide as much as I know.
The car is still its original yellow color. The interior will need an entire restoration, as it has been sitting for a couple years and is wet. There are a few rust spots around the car, though no noticeable holes. Floor pans seem okay. Glass is all fine. The rocker panels are very poor and the area around the drivers side door runners have been bondo-ed. Car does not start and it appears as though the front brakes have seized.
The car is in need of some serious help. I am just looking for a starting point.
Thanks

RE: 1973 911E

2000-4000 would be a place to start if the motor and trans are good (and from the sounds of it, i would lean more towards the 2k side). Make absolutely sure the floor pans are solid, especially up in the trunk area. In good to excellent shape, these cars are going in the mid to upper teens right now.

Thanks Doc,
Having spoken to a few porsche-philes, the general concensus is 2-3k. That seems like a fair jumping off point considering the variables that surround the car.
I was looking for a project, I think that I found one.
