1984 944 PORSCHE

JUST HAD THE BELTS CHANGES A FEW WEEKS AGO, STARTED MAKING NOISE THIS MORNING, THEN JUST DIED,

Ok, a little more information would be nice. Does it crank, does it crank faster than normal, can you see the belt through the distributor inspection hole, mark it with a paint pen or lip stick, hit the key....does the paint mark disappear, yada yada yada.
