Default 911 2.7 Trobleshooting Help

hello, I have a 1975 911S with a 2.7 engine. Th engine start Ok, however when it warms up it starts producing white smoke...does anyone have any suggestions as to the possible causes?

I would do a compression test and a leak down and see what your numbers are. Sounds like you might be looking at a complete or top end rebuild

Initial compression tests were OK...Can you discribe the process of a leak test.

A leak down test injects air into the combustion chamber when the piston is at TDC. It is a good indicator if you have bad valves or rings. I would almost bet your valve guides/seals need replacement. The test is done using an air compressor and a special tool
