I've neverowned aPorsche, but have been looking for a long time. I think I just found what I am looking for. Should I be looking for anything in particular? What questions should I ask? Thanks for your help</FONT>

Translation: "I know everything - listen to me and my advice". Never mind the fact that your advice smells like bull**** from five miles downwind AND is targeted at turbo cars. Did you not see the part where he mentioned this was a 1985 944 (translation: PRE-951)? Go take about two or three quarts of highly slippery, preferably full-synthetic oil and lube up the area around your sphincter so maybe you can FINALLY extract your head from your ass.

The best possible advise in this situation is to ignore ANYTHING that Mr. P says. The first poster got it right, take a look at the site he posted.

So the advice Mr Pinkerton said isn't good and the other link is right? I'm considering getting a Porsche 944 from a friend of mine but I want to make sure it's going to be a good car and not break down a lot or anything. Anything else I should check?

Check the color of your panties. You know how the magazines are always talking about how you can "feel" the car through your seat? How it talks to you? Well, it can also see the color of your undies, so make sure you wear stuff that's color-coordinated to your car and is fashionable. Because if you're caught with a fashion faux-pas, your Porsche's gonna be really embarrassed, it'll run really slow for you, or even break. BTW, post a picture of yourself.
