Looking to purschase my first Porsche 911`
 

Hello,

I'm looking at buying my first Porsche 911. I have never had a Porsche before but thought that this was a good place to get some recommendations.

I don't have a big budget and I'm not super good with cars, so I'm looking for something that gives me the most bang for the buck. I'm partial to the air cooled 80's cars. I would be happy with a 70's or even a 90's if the price was right.

I have been looking around and it seems like these cars come in two ranges - >$10k for daily drivers and upwards of $25-$40 for immaculate examples. Does that sound about right? I know the SC models are commanding even more $$$.

I have also heard that a lot of these early models leak oil. Is this a pretty easy thing to fix, or does this require an engine rebuild.

I guess that's it for now. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
