Need Tire Help

I need your help. I had a rear tire explode on my car today. I need to get four new tires on my 2002 C2. It currently has 285/30/ZR18 N4 Pirelli's on the back, and I'm not positive what is on the front. My problem is that I want to get a tire with more than 10,000 miles worth of wear. Am I being completely unreasonable looking for a tire that will go 20,000 miles? Give me some suggestions.... PLEASE!!!

RE: Need Tire Help

I have had very poor results with Pirelli, so I cannot recommend them. Michelins seem okay and go about 22-25K miles for me- I haven't had my 04 C2 that long but I had sets on previous Audi S4s, etc.

My strong preference is BFG G-Force, however. There are various grades, from KDWs that seem to go nearly 28,000 miles and hae traction about like the Michelins, to pure drag radials, which I run on all four corners of my vette (yeah, I run drag radials on the front -- it works). they last only about 5000 miles but nothing except a pure racing tire sticks as well.
