Thumbs down Oh No! Viper Performance tuning chip

2000 Porsche Boxster S. Everything was wrong and car was in limp mode. Lots of codes. Battery drain.

Got quotes of $4500 to fix ignition, some other electronics and replace Throttle body. More than car might be worth. I said okay to fix battery drain. Lucky me. That solved the getting stranded problem. Mechanic found a Viper Performance Module in the ODBC port that I thought was part of car. Removed all the problems vanished. Save a bundle. Does anyone have stories of what to do with this company? This chip does damage.
