Questions from newbie
 

Hi guys. My name is Ken. I am currently the owner of an '02 VW GTI 1.8T, which I am selling in hopes of purchasing a Porsche. I have a family now, and would rather buy a house than continue to make payments on this car. I have a few questions on some of these models. I have found quite a few cars for sale locally. I have seen a TON of 944's (84-87) with 70k-90k miles in great condition for under $5k. My first question is why do such older cars have such low miles? Do Porsche owners just baby their cars, or are these models too unreliable to be a daily driver? Also, any recommendations for a nice vehicle under $5k?

from what ive seen and heard most porsche owners are very good to their cars and usually only drive them in good conditions.
