Will a Chevy/Ford th400 fit a 68 cadillac?

I have a 1968 cadillac coupe deville that has some trans problems and i am thinking it might be easier and cheaper to just replace maxisys ms908p the tranny with a new one but I dont know if a chevy, ford, etc th400 will fit with out other parts. Let me know what will work thanks.
