2006 C46 CAB Werid Noise--HELP
 

Hello All,

I am new to forum, but Ilike what I see already. I have a 2006 C46 cab (2Ok miles)that I bought new. I noticed one day after washing the car (not the engine) that my car was signficantly louder after washing it. Specifically, when I hit the throttle, there is a lot more intake noise almost to the point the car sounds as if it were turbocharged. Further,I can here the newsoundwith the top down, but it is especially noticeable with the top up.Any advice is greatly appreciated.

It sounds as though you need to carefully examine all of the pipework around the intake filter and induction system, possible looking for chafed hoses or loose clips. Best to do this with the engine running (but watch your hands etc!!!!!).
