997 Trans problem

My 2005 997's transmission just locked in third gear while I was trying to shift to fourth. The shift lever is just loose now and obviously not connected to the trans. anymore. It's under warranty so I'll take it in next week but does anyone have a suggestion for a quick fix to make the car drivable?
