Alternator Light On Dim 88' 911

I recently had a charging issue with my 911. Meter check at battery indicated no charging when running, and alternator light did not come on when ignition was turned on, not started.

Replaced Alternator with rebuilt and then battery as I killed it recharging it so many times durning the fix.

All was well for a couple days and then the alternator light started coming on dim only when the headlights are turned on.I checked with volt meter.... Car Off - 12.3 volts, Car Running (no lights) - 14.9 volts, Car Running (Lights on) 14.3 volts. I know it's charging and I don't seem to have any battery or charging issues.

One added note, I know the blinker switch needs to be replaced as the Bright (High Beam) switch is internitent.

Any advice???

Thanks,

Ian

RE: Alternator Light On Dim 88' 911

I suggest that it is good if you ask an automotive technician in your nearest place so they can check your car personally. I hope it helps. I’ve read auto information at autopartswarehouse.com, it includes car care and car repairs.
