Cayman S Rotor corrosion

Hi there,

Wee Scotsman from Edinburgh here :D

I'm looking for some advice.I've been told my18 month old Cayman S requires all new brake discs and pads at a cost of 1300 GBP or 2600 USD. The dealership tells me the car has been sitting with wet discs and they have all pitted and corroded. I had asked them to check the brakes the last time the car was in getting some other warranty work done, but wasn't expecting this.

They have told me the car has been left undriven for too long. I am astounded, the car is 18 months old and I've covered 13000 miles. The longest the car has sat without being driven is 2 weeks. As I live in an apartment, I have to wash the car at the local garage, 2 miles away. Therefore I have to drive the car back to my underground car park after washing, drying the brakes off at the same time.

Do I jsut accept this and stump up the cash and have them replaced, or do I go to war with the dealership demanding that they replace the faulty brake rotors and pads?

Advice and help would be much appreciated.

Thanks.
