Default Dash Lights

I have a 2002 boxster S, the dash light when i turn the light switch doesn't always go on. I would have to push hard/ put pressure on the light switch and sometimes turn it on and off ) right 2 times and back and forward again and the light in the dash goes on. What is the problem , do i need to replace dash lights? if so, how do i do that and where is it? thanks

I believe other people on this Forum are aware where you can locate an "On Line" Repair Manual - Please help him guys
I'm assuming all your other lights come on when you switch on the light switch ie main lights.
Please operate the Dash Light Dimmer switch a few times, the problem may be in the Dash Light Resistor more than the Dash Bulbs themselves. Playing with the dimmer switch may just clear the problem.

Sounds like a bad headlight switch, or possibly a bad ignition switch.

There is a little adjustment **** just above the speedo gauge. If you twist it to the right several times it will brighten the dash lights. Don't be too hard on yourself, I drove my 911 for about a week when I first got it, barely able to see the gauges at night.[8D]

Good luck,

Kevin
