M28.11 engine - intake #7 hot enough to cook an egg.

I have a 928S with a M28.11 16v 300hp engine. I believe it is the K-Jetronics version and very siple electronics.
I have had the car for a week, it was a great buy. I got to trade in my old car and pay the dif. From the get go, the car did not fire on all 8's and I found a vac leak on the brake booster. Installed a new rotor, distributor cap, new rubber conectors on the intake and the big bottom one.

I now noticed, that the #7 intake get hot almost instantly after running the engine. What's the deal? Stuck valve? I will be checking compresion tomorrow but maybe some of you have experianced this. There is also a clanking noise, not too loud, just around 3000rpms and over. I though it was a exhaust shielding somewhere but it is coming from under the left valve cover / head. Having a har time locating it since this car has such a sweet and deep base hummmmm..........

Anyone?

RE: M28.11 engine - intake #7 hot enough to cook an egg.

Well, judging by all the answers, I can see that this is a busy forum.
Opened her up today, and yes, not only a stuck valve but a busted lifter and spring. \
Not sure how I drove it 80 miles with out the engine taking more damage.
After looking at the compression numbers, decided to pull the engine, rebuild.
Did you know that an original gasket set for the 928 is over 500 bucks? Found another one for 315 but
not sure if it is the real thing. (Autohaus). Guess we can close this one.......

This is going to cost a fortune, but by the looks of my two freinds that are helping me out...well....I can see that they
are dying to get it finished and break it in. This is going to be fun !
