My remote slowly died...
 

At first it worked beautifully; with the remote on my key to my Boxter 1998 I could lock and unlock both the doors and the boot lid.
Then it worked most times, but sometimes not…
Then it worked sometimes, but most times not…
Then it died completely…
Anyone who have any ideas out there?

Starting simple, have you replaced the battery in it?

Yes, right... I should have told you that...!
I have two keys, I have replaced the battery in both of them, and they both give the same result: nothing.
I have had the keys tested, and they give out a signal, but the equipment I used couldn’t tell if they give the right code…

So I belive the problem must be in the car...?

Yup, sounds like you need to make a trip to the dealer and have them reprogrammed. They will lose their programming for no particular reason.

Thanks, I'll try that. May take som time dough, since the nearest dealer is 600 km away...
