N-rating on tyres

N-rating on tyres
It is time for me to change the rear tyres on my 2005 Boxster S but it has Michelin PS2 N3 at the back. I struggle to find N3 but can get N2.
What is the difference between the N3 and N2? Can I fit the N2s without replacing the front tyres?
Any help on this will be great.
