Need Advise on a Chip for new C2S...

Iam looking to add a little more power without losing drivablity or reliability.I'd appreciate recommendations for a few good tunersregarding an 07 Carrera S? I'd like to start with the power chip. No internal engine work, but maybe headers/exhaust down the line.

Thanks in advance.

I would do your intake and exhaust first, then do the chip after those. The chip will benefit most from increased air into and out of the system (ie, intake and exhaust) with the remapping. I tune with GIAC. If you do the chip first, you aren't going to see much for gains.

For exhaust, I would do headers and muffler cans, and leave your stock cats in place.

Thanks Doc. What kind of HP/TQ gains could I expect from those mods and what about just the chip?

TIA

Revo Technics System is worth a punt. You can try it out before you buy for a small fee. It gives you the options of going back to standard, as well as the performance setting, all at the twist of a switch. You can also have a security setting (little more money) that prevents the car being started even if the ECU is replaced. I had mine added to a 996 C2 andI was impressed. You can also have the throttle response adjusted as part of the performance setting to suit the way you want to drive in "performance mode"

I've gone on to add a Sports Exhaust and a Full Flow Inlet system, so I'm probably up at approx 360BHP +/- 10 BHP.
