Oil Pressure Failure Indicator 996

On some occasions in my 996 Carrera I have had the Symbol of Oil Pressure and the words "Failure Indicator" show up on the onboard computer display. The oil pressure gauge also drops to zero. As soon as this happens I apply the brakes to slow down and it all goes back to normal. the engine performs normal through out this. The engine oil is at the correct level.
Has anyone experienced this and what was the remedy. I think it may be a faulty oil pressure indicator but would like to hear anyoneone's thoughts before I take it to the porsche dealer.

RE: Oil Pressure Failure Indicator 996

Could be a faulty sender or possible that the wire on top of the sender is coming loose. Either way, it sounds like you need to have it checked out.

I have checked for loose wires, looks ok , but I suspect you may be correct about the faulty sensor.
I will take it in and have it checked.
Thanks for advice
