Not that I know of. Should go up when you turn the ignition on.

Thanks - I think previous owner may have pulled out his multi-CD player from the trunk well under antenna and may have disconnected antenna powere wire in the process- there is a red and a green wire hanging there with shiny ends attached to nothing. OH well guess we'll try to find out how these have to be attached t o somewhere...any insight appreciacted.

Default RE: radio antenna - some progress..

OK - got this far- found blue remote wire off radio and it gives powerwhen radio is on (I ran this to the red on the antenna motorand put the green wire on the antenna motor to ground - raised anrtenna when radio turmed on but antenna motor would not stop running and kept trying to raise the antenna past its limit. (I was able to lower it by refvensingf the wire hookup -putting the hot lead to the green andthe red to ground reversed the motor'sdirection but again it would not stop running unless I disconected the wire. Am think the antennamotor may have a problem if it has a shut-off mechanism that is not working properly. Any thoughts?
