1983 944
Hi my name is Matt. I have been around Porsches since I was a teen. I traded some of my art for an 84 944 about 8 years ago and gave it to my dad. He drove that for about 2 years untill it needed a clutch. He decided he loved the car too much not to fix it so he had it repaired by Ralph's here in Maryland and 2 weeks later he was rear-ended hard and the car was totaled. He then bought a nicer car for about $4500 and has driven that for a few years now as the old car has been kept for parts.
I recently purchased an 83 944 that just had a new motor put in, but it needs some TLC on the body and interior. Nice car. Runs amazing! I am slowly replacing the interior and some plastic parts from our old parts car and I am already driving this 83 as my daily driver. Since I was about 8 years old, my dream car has been an early 80's 911. I will upgrade my 944 at some point but for now I am loving this 944. I can already say thanks to DOC for his 944 QandA thread as it has already saved me some cash as I was about to do a aftermarket cold air intake and now I think I will go another route. I own a full metal shop and I am thinking about forced air. We will see... Thanks again, Matt |
Welcome to the board Matt! Sounds like you guys are enjoying the P-cars!
