we ended up with a 84 944 non turbo. i didn't even want it but never had a porsche before. girl friend took it out came back with a knock. i have been a truck and heavy equipment mechanic 25 years but i have been hearing about expence and labor time it sounds like a rod knock oil guage says 0 oil light is off . is there a way pressure can be cut off one place and has pressure elsewhere. i have read about poeple putting a small block chevy in they don't weigh much more they say maybe aluminum heads to been playing with small blocks sence early 70s is there a kit or some info to help?? can anyone give me some insite on the engine knock thanks the new guy

 

I'm sorry to hear about your 944 and I'm sorry to say that I can't help you with the knocking problem, but I do know of a company that can help you on the road to a Chevy V8 conversion.
