FNG questions from a neophyte
Hello!
I am an old motorhead who is considering the possibility of purchasing a Porsche (911/Boxter/Caymen) in the next 2 years. The car will be used and under $50,000. My only experience with the brand in the past was some VERY LIMITED exposure to the air cooled 911's and 914's.
I would be using the car as a daily driver, not a garage queen and the car could see some snow.
What I need to know is which models were the most reliable as I cannot afford a car that likes to break. I have read about rear main seals and intermediate shaft/bearing problems but only know what I read.
I presently drive a 2006 BMW 530xi and ride a 2004 BMW K1200RS.
Any help/advice etc would be most appreciated.
