Hello, New member, 996 or Boxster
 

Hi All

I have always loved 911's but never driven one or a Boxster, for years I have had Turbo Miatas.

I recently decided to look into buying a 996. but I am torn between a 996 and a Boxster S.

I like the mid engine design and the roadster of the boxster, but I like the extra room you get in a 911 for road trips and the extra power.

It would be a daliy driver, with some 4-5 hour trips into West Virginia and New York once a month.

What are you opinions?

My budget is between 18 and 24 thousand dollars. There are plenty of 911 Carrera's and Boxster S's in that range in the USA.

If I have to take a few days off and fly to the west coast to drive one home then that is OK.
